Agree the target, the work and the capacity needed to reach a useful operating outcome.
Supplier-data cleansing needs a clear business purpose and an achievable delivery plan. The scope should distinguish the records that matter, the evidence required and the issues that depend on supplier or business decisions.
Define the purchase
Agree the systems and supplier population, the quality requirements and the intended use of the cleansed data. A migration deadline, improved spend reporting and a recurring control programme can require different deliverables.
A scoped engagement can include an evidence baseline, a prioritised exception register, a target data map, effort estimates, an activity plan and management of the agreed remediation work.
Plan around the actual dependencies
Identify legal entities and necessary relationships before assigning work. Separate supplier enquiries from corrections that can be made using existing evidence. Resolve deactivation and open-transaction decisions with the business.
Resource the programme using the observed case mix and the availability of the team. Allow for review, coordination and elapsed supplier-response time, then recalibrate with early delivery evidence.
Build the control into delivery
Datanovel works with the client's team and approved systems to implement the checks, assignments, evidence capture and progress reporting. The engagement should also address the process defects that would recreate the same issues.
Completion is assessed against agreed requirements, with unresolved exceptions and their treatment made explicit. The handover defines the people, rules and recurring activities needed to maintain the improvement.
